Dinners for 12 Strangers is a 50+ year UCLA tradition that has become a global phenomenon.

Every year, on one of three nights members of the Bruin Community come together.

This past year, we transitioned to a hybrid format allowing participants to choose the option that was best for them, and we hosted more than 100 in person and virtual gatherings around the world involving more than 1,000 Bruins keeping the tradition alive.

This next year we will keep the program going by continuing to provide our hybrid format and allowing you to choose an option that is best for you. We believe in the power of community and the Bruin network to inspire and guide one another.

Student Gatherings

Student Gatherings will take place in-person this year.

Alumni can sign up to host our incredible students and share in a great meal together. Host participation is limited to Los Angeles to minimize transportation challenges for students.

Alumni Gatherings

Alumni gatherings will take place in-person and virtually.

Alumni can sign up to host an in-person dinner in their area or host a virtual gathering open to all alumni — the choice is yours! Hosting a gathering for alumni is the perfect opportunity to make new friends and connections and re-engage with the UCLA community.
